Experience the authentic taste of Japanese tea with St Matcha's premium, Australian grown sencha green tea. Grown on the fertile soils of Victoria’s north east using biological (chemical-free) farming methods, our loose leaf sencha exudes a full-bodied flavour with a subtle, delightful sweetness. Our light and invigorating sencha green tea is perfect on its own and also pairs well with most sweet and savoury dishes.
Brew sencha with 80°C water in a teapot or directly in your tea cup using a mesh strainer (preferably one that reaches deep into the cup). Use tea leaves to water ratio of 2-3g (2-3 teaspoons) to 1 standard cup of hot water (about 240ml). A mug or a teapot will likely need about 4-6g (4-6 teaspoons) of tea leaves. Brew the tea leaves for 1½-2 minutes then discard the leaves and enjoy! (For detailed brew instructions, click here)
