Chasen matcha whisk can last several years if used and stored properly. Here are our tips for maintaining your matcha whisk:

Soak Whisk Before Use: the prongs of the chasen matcha whisk are more brittle when dry and could break if used immediately. Before use, soak the whisk in water for up to a minute to allow the prongs to be more elastic.

Store Whisk on Whisk Holder: we recommend storing chasen matcha whisk on a whisk holder. This will prevent accidental damage to the chasen matcha whisk while also helping to maintain the shape of the whisk.

Washing: rinse the matcha whisk immediately after use. Use only hot water and do not put in the dishwasher.
