MATCHA, HEMP & VANILLA PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

This super creamy and low-cal matcha + hemp + super greens shake is a delicious and energising protein shake for the morning, post work out and anytime of the day!



CREAMY PROTEIN GOODNESS


This super creamy vanilla matcha and hemp shakes is the ultimate protein shakes to start your day or give that protein boost after workout (or to satisfy that mid day craving!). We also add kale and baby spinach to get that vibrant colour as well as for that extra boost of vitamins and phytonutrients. You can leave out frozen bananas if you prefer a lighter style shake (although bananas will lend that extra creaminess). So lets grab a blender and start making this delish protein shakes! :)



MATCHA, HEMP & VANILLA PROTEIN SMOOTHIE


PREP TIME: 5 minutes | COOK TIME: 1 minute | TOTAL TIME: 6 minutes

EQUIPMENT: Blender

KEEPS FOR: up to 2 days the fridge (but best consumed immediately)



INGREDIENTS (1 PROTEIN SHAKE)


  • 1 heaped tablespoon Matcha + Hemp Protein Powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder (we recommend our AKARI or RYO Organic Matcha Powder)

  • 1 cup kale or baby spinach (or a mix of both)

  • 1/2 cup frozen bananas. diced

  • 1 cup unsweetened macadamia milk (or your preferred milk)

  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons vegan yoghurt


METHODS


  • Place all of the ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour the shake into a large glass and enjoy!


RECIPE NOTES


  • You can also add other delicious greens to the smoothie shake such as water crest, beet leaves etc

  • Add 1-2 teaspoons of vegan yoghurt for extra creaminess and probiotic goodness
